Mothering/parenting classes

Mothering/parenting classes are workshops where you receive in-depth information on pregnancy, childbirth, preparation for delivery, practical advice for child-raising, and demonstrations of various techniques. They are taught by doctors, midwives, public health nurses, and nutritionists. The classes may be held at hospitals and OB/Gyn clinics as well as municipal health centers. Many classes are open to both mother and father.

One of the merits of going to these classes is that you can meet a lot of people to make friends with. It’s a great place to share pregnancy stories, and many people end up remaining friends and even having their children play together.
