Why, hello there! This is your English guide to Iwate, a prefecture located in northeast Japan. Blessed with rich, abundant natural beauty, Iwate is a source of great potential, and most importantly, the land which we call home. This is the official website for the prefectural government of Iwate and we're glad to serve you.

We're in the process of creating a guide to living in Iwate for foreign residents, and will slowly but surely be updating our information.
